Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SQL Expert Business Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, business requirement gathering, and creating complex source-to-target data mappings. This role demands a deep technical and business understanding to effectively bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and SQL Development:

Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and support business decision-making.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across various systems.

Business Requirement Gathering:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements.

Translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable data solutions.

Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between business requirements and existing data structures.

Source-to-Target Data Mapping:

Develop comprehensive source-to-target data mappings to ensure seamless data integration and transformation.

Create detailed data flow diagrams and documentation to support ETL processes.

Work closely with data engineers and ETL developers to implement and validate data mappings.

Technical and Business Understanding:

Demonstrate strong technical acumen and understanding of database structures, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling.

Maintain a deep understanding of business processes and industry standards to align data solutions with business objectives.

Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

2-3 years of experience in SQL development, data analysis, and business data analysis.

Proven expertise in writing complex SQL queries and working with large datasets.

Strong experience in gathering and documenting business requirements.

Demonstrated ability to create detailed source-to-target data mappings.

Excellent technical and business understanding, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.

Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
