We are looking for two experienced Shopify Content & Website Managers who have a deep understanding of Shopify and exceptional content writing skills. This role is crucial in ensuring our Shopify stores are fully functional, optimised, and ready for marketing campaigns and product launches. While website design and development are not required, this position acts as the bridge between designers, developers, and content creation—bringing everything together to build and maintain high-converting Shopify stores.
The ideal candidates must have strong attention to detail, excellent written English, and a keen understanding of sales-driven content to craft compelling website copy. They will also be responsible for daily monitoring of store performance, reviewing analytics, and ensuring smooth site functionality.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in Shopify – Ability to manage Shopify stores from setup to launch, including theme changes, page building, - and app integrations.
- Exceptional content writing skills – Ability to write persuasive, emotion-driven copy that converts visitors into buyers.
- Strong organisational skills – Ability to coordinate between designers, developers, and other teams.
- Understanding of eCommerce trends – Ability to implement A/B testing, adjust sections, and optimise sales funnels.
- Basic technical knowledge – Familiarity with linking domains, GSuite setup, Shopify apps, and integrations.
- Attention to detail – Ensuring product pages, site structure, and key website functions are operating correctly.
- Problem-solving mindset – Ability to identify site issues, propose solutions, and report to management when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Shopify Store Management
- Oversee all Shopify content, ensuring product pages, collections, and site structure are optimised for conversions.
- Create and update product pages, including writing descriptions, adding images, and ensuring all elements function correctly.
- Implement seasonal or promotional changes (e.g., updating the theme for Valentine’s Day sales).
- Link domains, set up GSuite, and integrate CRM software as needed for new store launches.
- Install and manage Shopify apps to improve functionality and user experience.
Daily Website Monitoring & Issue Resolution
- Perform daily checks on all live websites to ensure smooth functionality (checking add-to-basket, checkout, reviews, etc.).
- Identify and report any website issues to directors and relevant team members.
- Work with developers and designers to ensure any bugs, broken links, or performance issues are resolved quickly.
Content Writing & Optimisation
- Craft high-quality product descriptions, landing page copy, and website content that sell feelings and emotions.
- Ensure consistent brand voice across all pages.
- Oversee A/B testing of Shopify sections (e.g., button placements, colour changes, content positioning & changes).
- Coordinate with the graphics team to request and implement necessary images and infographics.
Product Launches & Updates
- Ensure new product launches are fully set up, including product pages, descriptions, pricing, and images.
- Import and manage product reviews (provided by another team member).
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure site content aligns with ongoing campaigns.
