Job Summary:
We are seeking a self-starter and results-driven Paralegal with a strong attention to detail and accuracy to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in managing family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and support matters.
Responsibilities include drafting documents, conducting research, and maintaining case files. Prior experience in Family Law in Florida is strongly preferred. This role requires the ability to work independently with little supervision while maintaining high-quality work with an attention to details and dedication to accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare initial drafts of petitions, pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other legal documents in Family Law matters such as divorce, child custody, alimony, and paternity.

Coordinate and prepare initial discovery requests and responses from clients, including interrogatories, requests for production, and subpoenas.

Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and meetings, and prepare notice of hearings, coordinating with courts and opposing counsel.

Serve as a liaison between attorneys and clients, maintaining frequent communication to gather information, provide updates, and clarify legal procedures.

Organize and maintain case files, including tracking important deadlines, filing documents with the courts, and updating case status.

Perform substantive legal research, analyzing statutes, case law, and regulations relevant to Family Law in Florida.

Prepare and file legal documents in state courts, ensuring compliance with Florida legal procedures and deadlines.

Provide general administrative support, including organizing exhibits for hearings, maintaining attorney calendars, and drafting correspondence.
Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution required; Bachelors degree preferred.

Minimum of 2-3 years of paralegal experience, with a focus on Family Law preferred. Experience in Florida Family Law is strongly preferred.

Proficiency in drafting petitions, discovery documents, and notices of hearings.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks, especially legal documentation.
