Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled GIS Specialist to manage, analyze, and maintain our Geographic Information Systems infrastructure. This role demands a high level of expertise in GIS software (especially Esri’s ArcGIS platform), spatial data processing, database management, and the development of geospatial tools and applications. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical capabilities with collaborative and problem-solving skills to deliver scalable and reliable GIS solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement GIS solutions based on given requirements.

Administer and maintain GIS hardware, software, and geodatabases, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.

Acquire, cleanse, verify, and integrate spatial and geospatial data from various sources, including LiDAR, aerial imagery, and BIM.

Perform complex spatial analyses to extract meaningful insights, detect patterns, and support decision-making.

Develop and maintain custom GIS applications and toolkits tailored to specific projects or user needs.

Publish and administer GIS web services using ArcGIS Enterprise.

Monitor system health, identify bottlenecks, conduct performance tuning, and interpret server logs for troubleshooting.

Collaborate with project managers and solution architects in an Agile environment.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in GIS and spatial analytics.

Required Technical Skills and Experience:
-
Expert-level proficiency in ArcGIS Desktop & Server (Advanced versions).
-
Hands-on experience with web-based GIS technologies such as ArcGIS Online and Leaflet.
-
Proficient in ArcGIS Desktop Extensions such as Network Analyst, 3D Analyst, and Spatial Analyst.

Strong skills in enterprise geodatabase administration, including creation, updates, and maintenance.

Proficiency in RESTful API technologies and GIS services integration.

Capability to publish/administer GIS services and interpret GIS server logs for system monitoring.

Experience in processing 3D geospatial data from LiDAR, aerial imagery, and BIM.

Experience managing ArcGIS Enterprise deployments.

Experience with Esri stack deployment on Microsoft Azure is a plus.

Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise for Azure and tools like Swagger for API documentation.

Programming knowledge in Python and JavaScript for scripting and application development.

Understanding of remote sensing and image processing techniques.

Expertise in geospatial data modeling and system design.

Prior experience in IT services companies or a dedicated GIS practice is advantageous.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.

8–10 years of hands-on experience in the GIS industry.

Advanced GIS certifications, such as Esri Certified GIS Professional or ArcGIS Pro Certification.

Proficiency with ESRI software products, QGIS, and GeoServer.

Strong command over database management systems like SQL Server and Oracle.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced Agile team environment.
