Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of engineers while driving the success of product-based projects. In this role, you will oversee the development lifecycle, ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions, and collaborate cross-functionally to align engineering efforts with business goals. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers by providing technical guidance and career development support.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Manage end-to-end execution of product-based projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define project requirements and priorities.

  • Oversee sprint planning, backlog grooming, and execution in an Agile environment.

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

  • Promote best practices in coding, architecture, testing, and deployment.

  • Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, design reviews, and performance optimizations.

  • Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to align engineering efforts with company strategy.

  • Work with DevOps and infrastructure teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.

  • Identify opportunities for improving development processes, tooling, and workflows.

  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven experience managing engineering teams and leading product-based projects.
  • Strong background in software development (preferably in backend, full-stack, or cloud technologies).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and software development best practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and microservices architecture.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to balance technical depth with business needs and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a product-based company or working on SaaS platforms.

  • Hands-on experience with modern tech stacks such as Golang, Node.js, Python, or Java.

  • Prior experience scaling engineering teams and defining technical roadmaps.

  • Knowledge of DevOps and infrastructure automation.
